WELCOME TO THIRD GRADE
My name is Amy Warren and I am so excited to be your child’s third grade teacher this year! We are going to be learning so many new and amazing things! In third grade, we will be learning about new strategies to help in math and reading. We will also be learning about kindness and self-awareness. All our lessons are built around discussions, hands-on learning and strategies to help build our knowledge. It is my job to help my students grow as individuals, academically, socially and emotionally.

Supply list for third grade
1 headset for Chromebook use
1 zippered soft pencil pouch
1 water bottle
2 packages of pencils
1 box of 24 crayons
1 box of colored pencils
1 pair of school scissors
2 glue sticks
2 folders with pockets
1 spiral notebook
2 boxes of tissues
-Some of these items may need to be refilled throughout the year.
-Please make sure all the student’s possessions are clearly labeled with his/her name or initials
-Any money that needs to come to school should be in an envelope with the student’s name and grade.
-We will have a snack daily, so please send in a snack each day.
Summer Reading
Choose one incredible book to read this summer and write me a summary of the book. Your summary should include:
-The name of the book
-The author
-What was the main idea of the book
-Who are the main characters
-What is the setting/Where does the story take place
-What was your favorite part of the book
-Your summary should be at least one page
